MODEL FAQ

Do I have to pay to sign with Mile High?

No. There are no fees to sign, no monthly charges, and no charge to apply. We only earn when you book — a 20% commission on the work we get you. If anyone asks you to pay to join an agency, walk away.

Do I have to sign exclusive?

No. New models start non-exclusive — you can keep freelancing and any non-exclusive deals you already have. Exclusive agreements only come up later, when it makes sense for bigger placements.

I'm already signed with another agency. Can I still join?

If your current deal is non-exclusive, yes. Some of our models keep a non-exclusive arrangement elsewhere — for example, for promotional work — while we handle their fashion and commercial career. If you're exclusive somewhere else, talk to us as your term is ending.

What does a mother agency actually do?

We develop you and push you: digitals, comp card, portfolio direction, and one-on-one guidance. Then we pitch you directly to casting directors and place you with bigger agencies in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and beyond when you're ready. A mother agency's job is to build your career, not just list your name.

Why a small agency?

At a big agency you're one of hundreds and can get lost. Our roster stays small on purpose — our models are people to us, not dollar signs. You work directly with your agent.

I'm brand new — no portfolio, no experience. Can I apply?

Yes. New faces are welcome; development is the whole point. Apply with simple, natural photos (below) and tell us where you want to go.

What photos do I need to apply?

Four simple digitals: headshot, half body, 3/4, and full body. Plain background, natural light, little or no makeup, no filters. Phone photos are fine.

Is there an age or height requirement?

You must be 18 or older. For runway, most markets look for 5'8" and up. Commercial, lifestyle, and print work have more flexibility — the right look matters more than one number.

Where are you located? Do I have to live in Mississippi?

We're based in Jackson, Mississippi, and our models live in different states and countries. Development and pitching happen remotely; bookings happen where the work is.

Do you represent trans models? Deaf or hard-of-hearing models?

Yes. Our roster is women and trans models, and we actively scout deaf and hard-of-hearing models. Talent is talent.

Will I ever have to pay to walk in a show or attend a casting you send me to?

No — and we check before we send you. We verify that a casting doesn't charge models to participate. If a show wants you to pay to walk, we pass on it.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application. If there's a fit, we set up a call. From there: digitals, then a simple agreement you can read and sign digitally. No pressure, no fine-print games — our agreements carry no termination fee, and you always keep your own social media accounts.
